Location & Climate

Samba is one of the youngest districts of Jammu & Kashmir State, Located on the range of Shivalik Hills along the side of National Highway NH-IA, on the bank of river Basanter at a distance of 40 Km from Jammu City.

The average elevation of the District is 1259 ft. at 32°57'N & 75°12'E. The climate of Samba district is hot and dry in summer and cold in winter. The Temperature ranges from 5°C to 42°C.
